Payroll Clerk

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract for a Payroll Clerk position in the manufacturing industry located in Bakerfield, California. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be tasked with duties related to data entry, payroll processing, and maintaining a comprehensive labor database.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately process weekly payroll for the assigned pay group
• Maintain and update the contract labor database regularly
• Assist in weekly payroll processing and labor reconciliation tasks
• Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate employee records in Kronos timekeeping system and Grimmway Information Systems
• Review and input farming timecards, perform audit checks for accuracy
• Upload weekly hours into the Payroll System and finalize the payroll process, including issuing paychecks
• Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and co-workers in Personnel and Benefits Departments
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.• Possess strong knowledge and experience in Payroll management.

• Proficient in Data Entry - Numeric, with high accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

• Fluency in the Spanish Language, both written and spoken.

• Prior experience in a Manufacturing industry is desirable.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.

• Demonstrated proficiency in using payroll software.

• Strong mathematical and numerical skills.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

• Good understanding of labor legislation, and payroll taxes.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Finance or relevant field is a plus.

• Certified Payroll Detail Oriented (CPP) certification is beneficial.
