Volt is hiring an Industrial Electrician for our client in Greater Peoria, IL.  Our client is an industry leader in automation and is expanding to include an individual with passion for new development, and problem solving.
In this role you will work in a high velocity and dynamic environment with a focus on quality and efficiency.

This is a first shift poition

As an Industrial Electrician, you will have:
  • Proven experience in electrical assembly, specifically in machinery or industrial equipment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards
  • Knowledge in routing electrical cables
  • Knowledge in proper grounding methods
  • Familiar with 480V AC and 24V DC circuits
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (30 lbs.) and stand for long periods
  • Capable of performing manual dexterity tasks and working in confined spaces
Estimated Duration:  6+ months

This is a full-time, Contingent opportunity.

The Ideal Candidate will:
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Install electrical components and systems in machinery according to specifications
  • Wire control panels and connect machinery to power sources
  • Field Wire components and route cables
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs during the assembly process
  • Collaborate with machine builders and engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical systems
  • Conduct routine testing and inspections to verify electrical functionality and safety
  • Maintain documentation of electrical installations and modifications
  • Create custom cables including soldering/crimping connectors
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Pay Rate: $33-35.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
