Job Summary:

Amentum is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician IV to join our facility operations & maintenance team in East Peoria, IL. As an Industrial Electrician IV, you will be responsible for providing expert-level electrical maintenance and repair services to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical equipment and control circuits from 24v to 480V AC
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment, including motors, lighting systems, and control circuits
  • Perform safety and hazard assessments prior to performing any work
  • Inspect and document findings
  • Communicate with clients and management regarding issue resolution and work completion
  • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent
  • Electrician Certificate from an apprenticeship program or equivalent Associate's Technical degree
  • 5 years of experience working with electrical systems
  • Experience working safely with voltages up to 480v
  • Valid driver's license
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment, including multimeters, meggers, and verifiers
  • Familiarity with distribution panels and switchboards
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical one lines and schematics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in industrial technology or certificate from an industrial electrical course
  • Experience working as a licensed electrician
  • Knowledge of lighting, lighting control, and commercial systems
  • Experience installing rigid conduit and EMT up to 3 inch
  • Working knowledge of NEC, sizing wire and transformers, calculating conduit fill
  • Experience troubleshooting and replacing 3 phase motors up to 60hp
  • Experience with a CMMS or Maintenance Management System (i.e. Maximo, MP2, etc.)
  • NFPA-70E training preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel repetitive during shift
  • Ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift
  • Ability to stretch and reach on a repetitive basis for shift
  • Ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift

Special Requirements:

  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed
  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained
