Purchasing Agent

We are in search of a Purchasing Agent to join our team based in Beavercreek, Ohio. As a Purchasing Agent, you will play a critical role in managing the acquisition of supplies, materials, and parts for our operations. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will also be involved in maintaining inventory databases and negotiating contracts with vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the purchase of supplies, materials, and complex items in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor market trends, prices, and delivery conditions to predict future material availability and adjust purchasing programs accordingly.
• Maintain and update inventory databases for materials and supplies used in the organization.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and logistics departments to enhance efficiency in the purchasing and inventory control department.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers to rectify issues related to delivery, quality, price, or sales conditions.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize purchasing and inventory control workflows.
• Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure compliance with company and departmental policies.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors to achieve optimal cost and delivery times.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role.• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Experience with Epicor software is needed.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.
• Knowledge in ERP Solutions is a must.
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software is beneficial.
• Proficiency in using About Time software is required.
• Understanding of Accounting Functions is crucial.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is required.
• Knowledge of Buying Processes is essential.
