Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Shift: M F 8:00am 4:00pm

Job Summary:
RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee and manage our pharmacy operations in Wausau, Wisconsin. The Pharmacist in Charge will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, managing pharmacy staff, and providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients. This leadership role requires a highly organized professional with excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient safety and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with Wisconsin state and federal laws, including maintaining current licensure and accreditation requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all regulatory agencies, including the Wisconsin Board of Pharmacy, and ensure pharmacy adherence to all legal and ethical standards.
Manage the pharmacy team, including scheduling, training, and supervising pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
Accurately dispense prescription medications and ensure compliance with all safety and quality control procedures.
Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy, appropriate medication storage, and compliance with safety protocols.
Provide medication counseling to patients, ensuring they understand their prescribed treatments, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
Implement and oversee Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services to optimize patient outcomes.
Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy best practices.
Manage the ordering and inventory of medications, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription issues and provide therapeutic recommendations.
Address patient concerns and provide solutions to improve patient satisfaction and care quality.

Qualifications:
Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Wisconsin Board of Pharmacy.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
2+ years of experience as a pharmacist, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role (Pharmacist in Charge or equivalent).
In-depth knowledge of Wisconsin pharmacy laws and regulations, including experience working with regulatory agencies.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing pharmacy staff and operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
Proficiency in pharmacy software systems, inventory management, and prescription processing.
