Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to assist with upgrading inventory bins at Amazon sites, making the facilities more automation-friendly. This role involves loading incoming material and pallets from trucks using a stand-up forklift.

Responsibilities
  • Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to load incoming materials and pallets from trucks.
  • Handle materials efficiently and safely in a warehouse environment.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with current safety standards.
Essential Skills
  • Current Forklift Certification
  • Experience with stand-up forklifts
  • Material handling skills
  • Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with pallet jacks
  • Ability to pick and move inventory efficiently
  • Experience in a construction work environment

Work Environment

The work environment is at Amazon ORF4, 1795 Dam Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA. The site is currently in the construction phase and is non-climate controlled. Facilities include port-a-potties. This role requires working in a construction work environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00
