Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Opportunity in Newburyport, MA

Position: Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: Newburyport, MA
Dates: ASAP November 1, 2025
Schedule: 30 hours per week, Monday Friday
Work Hours: 8:00 AM 2:45 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Caseload: Elementary students

About the Role:

ProCare Therapy is excited to offer a full-time opportunity for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Newburyport, MA. This is a great short-term assignment where you'll have the chance to work with elementary students to enhance their functional abilities and support their academic success.

Your Impact:

  • Schedule: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:45 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Caseload: Oversee elementary students and provide necessary support based on their individualized therapy plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess & Plan: Conduct assessments and help develop individualized therapy plans for students.
  • Therapy & Intervention: Provide hands-on therapy and work with educational staff to support student progress.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure therapy is integrated into the students educational programs.
  • Document: Maintain detailed records of plans, progress notes, and re-evaluations.

What Were Looking For:

  • Licensure: Must hold an active Massachusetts license (OTR for OT or COTA for assistants).
  • Experience: Prior experience working with elementary students is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
