Job DescriptionJob Description

MSA Hospice, a division of Medical Services of America, Inc., currently seeks an experienced Part-Time/PRN Nurse Practitioner for our Hospice patients in Darlington, Hartsville, Florence, Lake City, Bennetsville, Marion, Mullins, Latta, Kingstree (Florence, Darlington, Marion) SC.

Provides health care to patients and education to their families through the application of advanced knowledge and skills. In collaboration with the Hospice Medical Director, the Nurse Practitioner provides services related to health promotion, chronic disease management, and end of life care.

  • Performs face-to-face encounters with the patient to determine continued eligibility for hospice care within time frame of regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluates hospice patients for appropriate level of care.
  • Assists in development of hospice protocols, policies and procedures as required.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate patient records and documents to support interdisciplinary team and services provided.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous hospice and palliative care experience preferred.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Master’s degree in nursing.

• Valid Nurse Practitioner’s license.
