Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cedar Park. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining batch plant equipment, conveyor systems, and machinery with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain conveyor systems, hydraulic motors, hydraulic pumps, concrete mixers, and various other equipment using hand tools and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Inspect equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Use basic tools such as multi-meters, pipe benders, hand tools, etc.
  • Understand and exercise the required safety precautions necessary to complete the job.
  • Complete the assigned task in a timely and professional manner.
  • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 480V on industrial and diesel equipment.
Essential Skills
  • Mechanical experience (diesel experience is a plus)
  • Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic powered equipment
  • 1-2 years of experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, conveyor, and hydraulic systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Technical capacity
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Candidates must have their own tools
  • Trade school certification strongly preferred

Work Environment

This position is available on two shifts: 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday, and 2nd shift from 1pm-9:30pm or 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday. The role involves working both indoors and outdoors in a concrete manufacturing plant environment, which is not climate controlled. You will be part of a team of approximately 26 mechanics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00
