Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cedar Park. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining batch plant equipment, conveyor systems, and machinery in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain conveyor systems, hydraulic motors, hydraulic pumps, concrete mixers, and various other equipment using hand tools and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Inspect equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Use basic tools such as multi-meters, pipe benders, and hand tools.
  • Understand and exercise the required safety precautions necessary to complete the job.
  • Complete the assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 480V on industrial and diesel equipment.

  • Preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Construction equipment knowledge.
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics experience.
  • Mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
  • Preventive maintenance experience.
  • Experience with industrial equipment.
  • Electrical troubleshooting up to 480V.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Mechanical experience (diesel experience is a plus).
  • Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic powered equipment.
  • 1-2 years of experience doing PMs and troubleshooting these types of equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Technical capacity.
  • Candidates must have their own tools.
  • Trade school certification is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

This role operates in both outside and inside concrete manufacturing plant environments, which are not climate-controlled. There are two current openings on the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) and one on the 2nd shift (1pm-9:30pm or 2pm-10:30pm), Monday through Friday. You will be part of a team of about 26 mechanics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00
