We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to help fulfill our mission of enhancing communication and learning opportunities for all students.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a knowledgeable School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist who will provide personalized speech and language therapy to students. This role involves assessing speech and language abilities, creating individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support the educational and developmental goals of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Perform thorough assessments to evaluate students' speech and language needs. Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals based on findings and specific student needs.

  • Therapeutic Support: Provide direct speech and language therapy services, including articulation exercises, language intervention, and communication strategies. Design activities aimed at improving students' communication skills and supporting their academic growth.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to incorporate speech and language techniques into the classroom and daily routines. Attend IEP meetings and offer recommendations for communication supports and modifications.

  • Recordkeeping and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of students' progress, therapy plans, and session notes. Prepare reports for IEP meetings, progress assessments, and regulatory compliance.

  • Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in speech-language pathology and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

  • Licensure: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state.

  • Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.

  • Experience: Experience in a school-based setting or with children with diverse needs is preferred, along with knowledge of IEP processes.

  • Skills: Proficiency in speech-language pathology methods. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to varied student needs.
