Paralegal - Pre-Suit and Litigation Support

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal with expertise in handling pre-suit tasks, client communication, medical records, demand drafting, lien reductions, and disbursements. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the personal injury process, from initial client contact through settlement or litigation. Remote work is available for the right candidate. Experience with Aderant or ATO software is a significant advantage. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication: Maintain effective and professional communication with clients throughout the pre-suit phase and provide updates on case progress.

  • Medical Records: Collect, organize, and manage medical records, ensuring all necessary documents are gathered for case evaluation.

  • Demand Drafting: Draft and prepare demand letters for settlement negotiations, ensuring they are comprehensive, well-written, and accurate.

  • Negotiation Support: Assist in negotiating settlements, leveraging your experience to advocate for the client and facilitate successful resolutions.

  • Lien Reduction: Handle lien reductions and work with lien holders to minimize the impact on settlement amounts.

  • Final Disbursement Statements: Prepare final settlement statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and firm protocols for disbursement.

  • Litigation Support: Assist in the filing of lawsuits when necessary, ensuring all documents are correctly prepared and filed with the appropriate court.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal, with a strong background in pre-suit processes, demand drafting, lien reductions, and client communication.

  • Expertise in managing medical records and handling client communication.

  • Strong ability to draft demand letters and negotiate settlements.

  • Experience with preparing final settlement statements and filing lawsuits.

  • Proficiency in legal research, document preparation, and case management.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

  • Experience with Aderant or ATO software is a significant advantage.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, professionalism, and communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Boca Raton, FL 33487: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred).

  • Weekends as needed - Monday - Friday.

  • MUST have law firm experience. Personal Injury experience preferred but not required, knowledge of Personal Injury is required.
