ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with students with disabilities in Norwich, New York. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum to meet the diverse needs of your students, and providing support to ensure all students can reach their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Adapt lessons and activities to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in the classroom or resource setting.
  • Caseload: Elementary Co Teacher

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Masters preferred).
  • Certification: Valid New York teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher is preferred but not required. Experience with IEPs is a plus.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
