ProCare Therapy is partnering with a fantastic school district in Norwich, CT, to find dedicated School-Based Special Education Teachers for the current school year. As an integral part of the educational team, you will provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs by creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), providing tailored instruction, and collaborating with staff to develop strategies that enhance students' educational success. Job Description:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to support students with a variety of disabilities.

  • Provide specialized instruction in both individual and small group settings.

  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are made for students with disabilities.

  • Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and academic growth.

  • Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive social and emotional development.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education from an accredited program.

  • Valid state licensure as a Special Education Teacher in the state of employment.

  • Experience working with students with special needs in a school setting preferred.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Interview Process:

  • (10-15) minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter

  • (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school

  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview
