Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs? ProCare Therapy is looking for dedicated and skilled Special Education Resource Middle School Teacher to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohiofor the 2024-2025 school calendar. Ideal candidates will play a crucial role in positively impacting the lives of our students by directly contributing to the student(s) development. Providing curriculumplans designed to stimulate curiosityand discovery implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Program). Thus, providing direction and guidance to achieve their academic success.

Job Description:

A Special Education Resource Teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities or special needs. Their job description typically includes the following responsibilities:

  • This is an middle school classroom between 7- 8thgrade. Mild - Moderatedisabilities. Subjects include math, language arts and science
  • Resource style classroom.
  • Developing & implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Providing targeted instruction to students with diverse learning challenges, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborating with general education teachers, school administrators, and other specialists to support the inclusion and academic success of students with disabilities.
  • Assessing students' strengths and needs, and monitoring progress towards academic and behavioral goals.
  • Providing accommodations and modifications to curriculum and assessments to ensure equitable access to learning for students with disabilities.
  • Establishing positive relationships with students, families, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Attending and actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other team meetings to discuss student progress and instructional strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred but not required)
  • State certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs
  • Strong understanding of different learning styles and abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
