Overview:

Compensation & Benefits:

  • 1099 Contract Position

  • Hourly Rate: $30-$40(depending on district budget and candidate experience)
  • Access to Clinical/Technical Support Team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Tailored Instruction: Design and adapt lessons for diverse student needs and learning styles, utilizing creative methods to support academic and social growth.
  • IEP Development and Management: Create and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with specific goals and strategies, particularly focusing on transition planning.
  • Foster Behavioral and Emotional Skills: Implement effective strategies to promote a positive learning environment, helping students enhance their social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with Educational Professionals: Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to provide a unified educational experience, actively participating in meetings and maintaining ongoing communication.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Special Education
  • Active Ohio Special Education license and teaching certificate
  • At least 2 years of experience in an educational setting
  • Preferred experience with virtual teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable computer and high-speed internet connection (no Chromebooks or tablets)

Interview Process:

  1. Initial Screening: Quick 10-15 minute call with a VocoVision Recruiter
  2. Virtual Interview: 20-30 minute discussion with the school district
  3. Offer: Usually extended within 24-48 hours post-interview
