Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Santa Barbara, California. This role plays a crucial part in our financial management process and involves handling day-to-day bookkeeping duties such as account reconciliation, managing accounts payable and receivable, and executing bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire accounts payable and receivable processes
• Perform account reconciliation tasks to prevent discrepancies
• Carry out bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reports
• Utilize QuickBooks to organize and maintain financial records
• Conduct data entry tasks for financial transactions
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reports
• Ensure timely completion of month-end close procedures
• Manage payroll functions to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
• Maintain accurate financial records for all customer accounts
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts and resolve any issues promptly.• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated experience with Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations
• Strong proficiency in Bookkeeping procedures and practices
• Proficient in data entry with high attention to detail
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
• Experience with Month End Close processes
• Knowledge and experience in Payroll management
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A commitment to continuous professional development
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
