Position: Paraprofessional
Location: Near Milpitas, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hourly Rate: $21+/hr (based on experience)
Caseload Details: To be discussed during the interview process
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associates degree or higher is preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with special needs in an educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to supporting students academic and social development
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group support to students with special needs within the classroom
- Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and instructional activities under the guidance of the special education teacher
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Support students with daily tasks, including personal care, communication, and mobility
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor and adjust student progress and strategies
- Keep precise records of student performance and behavior
