Paraprofessionals Needed In Los Angeles, CA
ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated and compassionate paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Los Angeles, CA. As a paraprofessional, you will work closely with special education teachers and other school staff to provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs. Your role will be crucial in helping students achieve their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instruction and supporting students with disabilities.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of certified teachers.
- Support students with personal care, mobility, and communication needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior interventions.
- Collaborate with other school staff and participate in team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of educational and behavioral strategies.
- Must pass a background check and provide references.
