We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Permanent Operations Supervisor for our Night Shift. This role is vital to our Engineering industry operations, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are running smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production line, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and leading a team of dedicated professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in food safety, quality, and SQF, who is looking to take their career to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise night shift operations, ensuring all activities adhere to operational and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate and direct the production team to meet production targets and ensure efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong focus on food safety, ensuring all processes comply with SQF and other relevant standards.
  • Monitor product quality, implementing corrective actions where necessary to minimize waste and maintain high standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to align operational activities and optimize overall performance.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, capacity, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, as well as industry regulations and legislation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven knowledge and experience with food safety, Quality, and SQF.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
