About the Role

The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for leading and participating in new product development for electrical construction products. This role will involve managing projects from idea generation to product launch, working with the marketing team to assess customer feedback and align it with product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new product design concepts.
  • Lead design to value projects to drive efficiency in current product designs.
  • Conduct design for manufacturability events and coordinate experiments to test and verify product design.
  • Track progress and action items for ongoing design projects.
  • Participate in Kaizen improvement events and assist in troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis for product enhancement.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of prior Engineering work experience in manufacturing or design or combination of both.
  • Experience and knowledge in testing and/or product development.
  • Strong mechanical design background using strength of materials.
  • Strong experience working with test lab equipment.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Finite Element Analysis, and SAP.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
