We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Detroit, MI, with options to work virtually or on-site.

Position Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with students to enhance their communication and learning abilities. Whether you choose to work virtually or in person, you will assess speech and language needs, create individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with educators and families to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Planning:
    Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language needs. Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals tailored to each student.

  • Therapeutic Intervention:
    Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, focusing on articulation, language comprehension, and social communication skills.

  • Collaboration:
    Partner with teachers, special education staff, and parents to implement strategies that integrate therapy into the classroom and daily routines. Participate in IEP meetings to provide insights and recommendations.

  • Documentation and Compliance:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and compliance documentation.

  • Professional Growth:
    Stay informed on best practices and developments in speech-language pathology, especially those related to school settings.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience: Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities. Competence in using virtual platforms for teletherapy, if applicable.
  • Technology (for virtual candidates): Reliable high-speed internet, a computer with a webcam, and familiarity with teletherapy tools and platforms.
