Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator/Feeder to join our box printing team. The ideal candidate will operate and manage printing machinery used in the production of custom boxes, ensure materials are fed correctly, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the printing process. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Operate and monitor printing machines to ensure efficient and accurate production of custom boxes. This includes setting up the machine, adjusting settings, and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Material Feeding: Load and unload materials such as paper, cardboard, and ink into the printing machine. Ensure materials are fed correctly and adjust as needed to prevent jams and ensure continuous operation.
  • Quality Control: Inspect printed boxes for defects, color consistency, and adherence to specifications. Make necessary adjustments to the machine to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth production flow. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding production status and any issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor technical problems that may arise during the printing process. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate personnel.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Technical or vocational training in machine operation or a related field is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in operating and adjusting printing machinery.
    • Ability to load and feed materials accurately and efficiently.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality production.
    • Basic mechanical skills for machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
    • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
