Key Responsibilities:
Compounding, Dispensing, and Distribution:
- Manage tasks related to radiopharmaceuticals, including data entry using Pinestar for daily dose management and end-of-day reports.
Synthesis, Quality Control, and Assurance:
- Oversee the synthesis, quality control, and assurance of FDG and NaF, including the preparation of reagents.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to USP regulations, proposed regulations, and other state pharmacy requirements at the site level.
- Maintain a valid personal license in accordance with state laws.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Regulations:
- Follow all relevant SOPs and regulations, including 21 CFR Parts 211 and 212, by adhering to the quality management system.
- Maintain cGMP control at the site.
- Ensure aseptic operations comply with internal procedures (gowning, cleaning/sanitation, sterility, environmental monitoring, etc.), customer requirements, and FDA regulations.
- Ensure compliance with radiation and laboratory safety protocols, including handling chemical or radioactive spills and reporting incidents.
Documentation and Quality Assurance:
- Complete cGMP documentation as required and assist site and corporate Quality Assurance with investigations, corrective and preventative actions, deviations, out-of-specifications, no or atypical yields, manufacturing and QC records, and logbooks.
- Write and review internal procedures.
- Review and release batch records with site QA as needed.
- Open change controls and initiate, maintain, and review network and site-specific procedures related to job functions.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service related to radiopharmaceuticals to physicians, healthcare workers, customers, etc., as needed.
Required Skills:
- AU or ANP authorized user for radiation (must obtain within 6 months; company reimburses cost upon passing).
- NJ licensed (must obtain within 6 months of starting the role).
- B.S. or Pharm.D. from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Required to have 1 to 5 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a retail and/or nuclear setting
