Pharmacist Intern

Job Title:
Nuclear Pharmacist

As a Nuclear Pharmacist at Actalent, you will be responsible for managing tasks related to radiopharmaceuticals, including data entry using Pinestar for daily dose management and end-of-day reports. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Synthesis, Quality Control, and Assurance:
Oversee the synthesis, quality control, and assurance of FDG and NaF, including the preparation of reagents. Ensure adherence to USP regulations, proposed regulations, and other state pharmacy requirements at the site level. Follow all relevant SOPs and regulations, including 21 CFR Parts 211 and 212, by adhering to the quality management system.

Aseptic Operations:
Ensure aseptic operations comply with internal procedures (gowning, cleaning/sanitation, sterility, environmental monitoring, etc.). Ensure compliance with radiation and laboratory safety protocols, including handling chemical or radioactive spills and reporting incidents.

Documentation and Quality Assurance:
Complete cGMP documentation as required and assist site and corporate Quality Assurance with investigations, corrective and preventative actions, deviations, out-of-specifications, no or atypical yields, manufacturing and QC records, and logbooks. Open change controls and initiate, maintain, and review network and site-specific procedures related to job functions.

Requirements:
Degree from an accredited pharmacy school. Permanent position. Must be flexible with shifts. We are open to discussing the schedule with the right candidate.

Shifts:
We have three different shifts for pharmacists: Monday-Friday, 3/4am-12pm, 7am-3pm, and 9am-6pm. We are open every third Saturday of the month, with one pharmacist needed on weekends, rotating each month. The schedule changes every few months, and pharmacists discuss and adjust shifts as needed. Must be comfortable working early morning shifts.
