One of our clients in the Walnut Creek area is seeking a Sr. Accountant for a contract position.

Responsibilities:


• Undertake account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to confirm all data is accounted for and accurate.

• Perform bank reconciliations periodically to ensure financial integrity.

• Manage general ledger reconciliations and rectify any discrepancies.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting purposes.

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.

• Participate in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reports.

• Use NetSuite for various accounting functions and reporting.

• Assist in audit processes and procedures.

• Leverage CPA skills and knowledge to improve accounting processes.

• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Senior Accountant.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Experience in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries for large company.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data.

• Familiarity with Month End Close processes and procedures.

• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software is crucial.

• Must have prior experience in Audit and be able to conduct financial audits when required.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various departments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

• Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
