Job Description

Seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production equipment and facilities. Essential responsibilities will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair a variety of machinery and mechanical equipment used in food production. This position requires a proactive and safety-conscious professional who can respond quickly to equipment malfunctions and help maintain a safe, productive workplace.

Hours

1st Shift Monday-Friday (Overtime + 1 Weekend Day)

Pay

$35.00 - $37.00

Job Duties

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and packaging machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust systems to meet operational specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring devices.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and ensure it meets operational standards.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production interruptions.
  • Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts inventory.
  • Work closely with production staff to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption.
  • Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
