Job Details
We are currently seeking a talented, performance-driven individual to fill the position of a Permanent Master Scheduler in our Engineering department. This role is ideal for someone who is an expert in Schedule Risk Assessments, Critical Path Management (CPM), and has a background in working as a Scheduler and Master Scheduler. The individual must have a DoD Clearance and Q Clearance. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing complex project schedules using project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Conducting Schedule Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
- Implementing Critical Path Management (CPM) to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborating with project teams to understand work plan and to ensure the accuracy of project schedules.
- Tracking project milestones and deliverables, and providing regular status updates to project teams and stakeholders.
- Analyzing project control trends to identify issues and risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Providing guidance and expertise to project teams on schedule management and CPM.
- Working closely with project managers to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules of projects using MS Project 2010.
- Identifying major milestones, decision points, project life-cycle and other project events.
- Troubleshooting and monitoring potential scheduling problems.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project plans and schedules.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Master Scheduler in the engineering industry.
- Expert knowledge of Schedule Risk Assessments and Critical Path Management (CPM).
- Proven experience as a Scheduler and Master Scheduler.
- Must have a DoD Clearance and Q Clearance.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, or other project management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
