Volt is immediately hiring a Product Verification/Stability Engineer in San Antonio, TX with a well-known industry leader.
In this role you are responsible to plan and execute design verification/stability engineering projects and reliability activities to support the development of safe and reliable medical devices.

This is a first shift position.
As a Product Verification Engineer you will:
  • Develop and validate test methods, write protocols based on defined requirements, and provide clear and concise test reports.
  • Perform data analysis activities including tolerance intervals, Ppk, data reduction, and gage repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Interact collaboratively with a wide range of disciplines to create innovative products in the challenging and rewarding medical device industry
  • Generate design verification project plans to test design requirements.
  • Apply design for reliability (DFR) concepts (DFMEA, HALT, FTA, etc.) during the product development process to ensure that designs are intrinsically reliable.
  • Validate test methods using equipment qualification, software validation, and measurement analysis.
  • Create custom control, user interface, and data collections programs using LabView.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or other).
  • Two or more years engineering experience in medical device (or other regulated industry) using reliability testing or design.
  • Engineering project management experience.
  • Understanding of fundamental reliability concepts – life data analysis, etc.
  • Knowledge of regulated design environments – specifically medical device development, FDA, or ISO registered experience.
  • Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics. Ability to troubleshoot, improvise, and work from schematics.
Pay Rate: $28.00-28.54 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
