Quality Control Inspector

As a quality control inspector, your main responsibility would be to ensure that the products manufactured meet the required quality standards. Here are some of the tasks you may perform as a sheet metal quality control inspector:

  1. Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  2. Identify and document any deviations or non-conformities, and work closely with production and engineering teams to address and resolve quality issues.
  3. Conduct visual inspections to assess surface finish, appearance, and overall product quality.
  4. Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation, including inspection reports, logs, and quality control records.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes to improve efficiency and consistency in manufacturing operations.
  6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of quality management systems.
