Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of a diligent Bookkeeper to join our team in RIDGEFIELD, Connecticut. In this role, you will be tasked with managing customer accounts, processing vendor bills, and ensuring the accuracy of our general ledger. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accounts payable process including auditing, entering, and processing all vendor bills
• Prepare and dispatch all client invoices using an automated process
• Monitor customer accounts for non-payments or delayed payments and initiate collection efforts as necessary
• Manage and process incoming payments, including checks and electronic payments
• Prepare and process monthly sales tax analysis and payments
• Enter and process monthly expenses associated with company credit cards
• Audit and input weekly expense reports from employees
• Assist in setting up recurring billing or agreements, serving as a backup when necessary
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and month-end processes
• Help the Accounting Manager with month-end journal entries as needed.• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Strong Bookkeeping skills
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks with accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Experience in handling Payroll
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
• Experience in Coding Invoices
• Familiarity with Payroll Vendor operations
