Cabinet Builder

Key Responsibilities:
- Cabinet Construction: Build custom cabinets, shelves, and other woodworking components using high-quality materials.
- Blueprint Interpretation: To ensure accurate measurements and specifications, read and interpret blueprints, designs, and technical drawings.
- Material Selection: Select appropriate wood, laminate, and hardware for each project based on client requirements and budget.
- Assembly and Installation: Assemble cabinet parts and install them at client locations or in the shop as needed.
- Sanding and Finishing: Perform finishing work such as sanding, staining, and applying protective coatings to ensure smooth, professional results.
- Quality Control: Inspect all completed pieces for accuracy and craftsmanship, making adjustments as needed to meet the project’s standards.
- Tool and Equipment Use: Safely operate woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, drills, and sanders.
- Collaboration: Work with project managers, designers, and other team members to meet deadlines and ensure the quality of finished products.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on tools and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Builder or similar role in carpentry/woodworking.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, cabinet construction, and finishing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle woodworking tools and materials.
- Vocational training in carpentry or woodworking (preferred).
- Previous experience in cabinet building or woodworking (required).
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed in a woodworking shop
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs) and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
$16-$18 DOE
