Litigation Paralegal | Law Clerk

We are in search of a Litigation Paralegal or Law Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role is situated within the legal industry and offers a long-term contract opportunity, with no set end-date. The chosen candidate will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to civil litigation and will require on-site presence on Monday and Thursday for team collaboration. The law firm is friendly and vibrant (think theme Halloween costumes to surprise the managing partner) and a welcoming atmosphere, where all staff function as a cohesive unit of mutual respect and a willingness to help and support one another.
Responsibilities
• Utilize legal research tools such as LexisNexis to aid in case preparation and discovery.
• Manage and maintain a system for effective documentation and data organization.
• Draft, review, and revise legal contracts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and well-structured.
• Manage civil litigation cases, coordinating all aspects from claim administration to resolution.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Excel, to manage and analyze data related to case proceedings.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive briefing materials for court appearances.
• Act as a liaison between legal teams and clients, managing communication and information exchange.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Ensure all legal actions adhere to industry regulations and standards.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Possess hands-on experience in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis
• Demonstrated experience in trial preparation and or litigation case management
• Proven experience in civil litigation
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated knowledge of legal terminologies and principles
• Prior experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Law Clerk
