Location: Near Bergenfield, NJ

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Instructional Assistant to join our team. This role requires a candidate with experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Handle With Care (HWC) techniques. The ideal candidate will support students with diverse needs, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing instructional activities and strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, particularly those with special needs.
  • Utilize ABA principles to support behavioral interventions and promote positive behaviors.
  • Implement Handle With Care (HWC) techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and performance.
  • Support the development and execution of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to provide consistent support to students.
  • Assist with classroom management, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean and safe learning space.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is required.
  • Certification or experience with Handle With Care (HWC) techniques is required.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children with special needs is preferred.
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
