Overview of Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material and Logistics Specialist to join our biotech company, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of materials and logistics operations to support our manufacturing and clinical research activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cGMP standards and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Receipt and Verification: Perform all tasks associated with the receipt of critical materials, ensuring each shipment conforms to company specifications and regulatory requirements.
Labeling and Inventory Control: Accurately label, store, and maintain inventory of all critical materials in accordance with company procedures and cGMP guidelines.
Shipping Coordination: Schedule and coordinate domestic and international shipments of drug product, materials, and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely delivery.
Clinical Product Accountability: Maintain strict accountability of clinical drug product and clinical materials throughout handling and storage processes.
Support Manufacturing Operations: Assist the Manufacturing Group with various operational tasks, including aseptic filling techniques, basic operator skills, and staging of equipment for preclinical and clinical manufacturing.
Packaging and Labeling: Apply drug product labels and perform secondary packaging activities according to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Cleanroom Operations: Maintain cleanliness and compliance within designated cleanroom environments, including proper gowning procedures (gloves, hairnets, full sterile attire).
Quality Assurance: Perform visual inspections of filled drug product containers to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Raw Material Management: Manage raw materials inventory and ensure availability for manufacturing operations as per production schedules.
Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Execute routine sanitization of materials, cleanrooms, and equipment to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure operational efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other facility tasks and maintenance duties as directed by the Manufacturing Manager to support overall operational goals.
Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office applications and inventory management systems.
Previous experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment, with knowledge of cGMP regulations and practices is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to stand for long periods of time while performing work through glove ports
Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a semi frequent basis
