Job Description
We are looking for an innovative Electrical Engineer seeking to develop cutting-edge optics and robotics products alongside mission-driven and values-focused teammates. Join us to help build high-performance optics, sensing, autonomous, and robotic systems as part of our innovative technology portfolio of products.
What you'll do:
As an R&D startup team looking to expand our capability, the ideal candidate will be an expert in FPGA development, with the flexibility to work on other embedded systems domains such as embedded software development and PCB design.
Own and contribute to the design of specific product features while working with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, business development, production, etc.).
Develops circuit, component, subsystem, and equipment interfaces and procurement specifications.
Contribute to schematic capture, modeling, simulation, testing, analysis, verification, debugging, and release to production.
Able to establish realistic estimates for completing tasks or projects.
Incorporate DSP technology into next generation video products.
Contribute to and attend cross-functional design reviews with other team leads and engineers to plan and execute projects.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within hardware development projects, demonstrating initiative to propose and implement innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and overall project success and product reliability.
Required Qualifications:
M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3-5 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
3+ years of experience in digital microelectronic design (FPGA, ASIC).
Experience with FPGAs.
Experience with video processing.
Programming languages such as: assembly language (ideally Arm assembler), higher-level (e.g. C), object-orientated (e.g. C++).
Demonstrated track record of assuming ownership over development processes and features and delivering outstanding outcomes
Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Xilinx FPGAs.
Experience with 10GigE.
Knowledge/Experience of implementation of DDR memory sub-systems.
Experience working on cutting-edge autonomous robotic systems.
Low-ego team player dedicated to mission success.
Proven background in thriving within fast-paced environments, particularly within startup or R&D settings.
Demonstrated adaptability, agility, and the ability to innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands and drive successful outcomes.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
