Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) 2024/2025 School Year

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2024/2025 school year in Porter, TX. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services that support students in developing effective munication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language therapy sessions as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Assist in developing and modifying therapy materials and activities.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the SLP.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting student goals.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Valid Texas SLPA license
  • Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong munication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
