Job Title: Electromechanical Technician

Summary/Objective
The Electromechanical Technician will provide technical assistance and support by testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and answering technical inquiries. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Manufacturing team members to ensure customer satisfaction through service excellence. Responsibilities include assisting customers in identifying product issues, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and communicating defects and trends to the Assembly Operations team. This position is based in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Essential Functions

Work hands-on with a variety of assembly and test equipment, focusing on electro-mechanical assembly and functional testing.
Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action for functional discrepancies.
Review customer field data to determine trends.
Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble electromechanical components and assemblies for return to customers.
Configure hardware and software components after installation.
Communicate real-time data to Assembly Operations and Engineering to implement process and design enhancements.
Assist customers in upgrading equipment at various field locations.
Document field installations and repairs.
Maintain tools and equipment used during service calls and in the local lab.
Keep up to date with administrative responsibilities, such as ordering repair parts and office consumables.
Educate customers on proper diagnostics.

Competencies

Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
Proficiency in soldering (IPC-610), wiring, crimping, and using hand and power tools.
Ability to use common diagnostic equipment, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, and power supplies.
Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Experience with robotic control systems and programming is a plus.
General computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work creatively and responsibly with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
