The Electromechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, testing, and maintenance of various electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components. This role requires adherence to established procedures, drawings, and work instructions to ensure high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations. The technician must be capable of working autonomously while following the guidelines set forth by management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electro-mechanical components with minimal supervision, utilizing hand tools, fixtures, and templates.
- Interpret and understand electrical schematics while employing measuring instruments.
- Construct and/or evaluate assemblies according to documented procedures or work instructions.
- Track and report on the status and progress of testing activities.
- Effectively communicate any issues that require attention through written correspondence.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in manufacturing areas, ensuring a well-organized work environment.
- Assist in troubleshooting device issues that may occur post-delivery to systems.
- Ensure that all documentation, including travelers, is current and accurate.
- Adhere to Bill of Materials (BOM) and work instructions, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor and Manufacturing Engineering.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in instrument manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Proficient in following process documentation.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality of work.
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with various computer software and hardware beyond basic knowledge.
- Experience with soldering techniques.
- Able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
