Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer who can operate manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and capable of independently operating and programming CNC machines using Mastercam. You will demonstrate expertise in producing parts using a variety of materials, selecting appropriate tools and materials for each job, and planning the sequence of cutting and finishing operations. Additionally, you will monitor and control feed rates and speeds, ensuring dimensional accuracy throughout the machining process by utilizing measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers. You will also be responsible for assessing and replacing cutting tools as needed, and performing machine maintenance and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and required specifications for a job.
• Operate and program CNC machines with Mastercam independently.
• Demonstrate expertise in producing parts using a variety of materials.
• Select tools and materials tailored to the requirements of each assigned job.
• Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations.
• Monitor and control feed rates and speeds, adjusting as necessary.
• Utilize measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure the accuracy of dimensions throughout the machining process.
• Assess and replace cutting tools as needed.
• Identify the need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs.
