Overview

Supervise and coordinate daily operations of general maintenance mechanics and trades people on assigned shift, relative to corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance projects.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  • Supervise, assign jobs, and ensure timely completion of projects by Engineers.
  • Perform routine field inspections on-site and at off-site locations.
  • Prepare technical reports and maintains logbooks as required.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety and environmental standards, as well as relevant state, local, and national codes.
  • React in a timely manner to emergency situations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate department to ensure minimal guest interruption.
  • To oversee the supervision of maintenance and repair of Casino facilities and equipment.
  • Instruct and train others as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all Casino Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned, related and non-related.
  • Promote positive employer/public relations at all times. Interact with internal departments as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attend seminars when needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or trade school certificate preferred. One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in commercial / industrial facilities maintenance preferred. One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a casino environment strongly preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Creating, reading, and interpreting documents such as vessel schematics, blueprints, construction drawings and policy and procedure manuals.
  • Writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speaking effectively before large groups of guests or team members of the organization.

ABILITY TO:

  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Train Team Members as required.
  • Remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Work with a wide range of power tools, saws, drills, planers, and air tools as well as basic hand tools.
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Occasionally work in high, precarious places such as on roofs or scaffolding.
  • Respond to service calls in efficient manner.
