Job Duties:
- Individual will be knowledgeable of all current Windows operating systems. (Windows 7/10 skills)
- Basic Windows troubleshooting will be involved.
- Execute service delivery by performing: Remote support, primarily responding to trouble tickets over the phone
- Coordinates with Client End User on expectations and availability to conduct Managed Client Services.
- Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact End User experience and follows through on action steps.
- Utilizes advanced tools / technical knowledge to remediate customer problems and conduct scheduled installs.

PREFERRED SKILLS: - Dell/A+ Certification - Windows 10 experience - Dell hardware experience - Novell support experience

One of the largest school systems in North Carolina is looking for a Desktop Technician to join their team This individual will be responsible for all student and faculty IT support for both a middle school and high school. This is a contract to hire role in Concord, NC.

 

EVP

Candidates will enjoy a relatively self-managed role, with freedom to prioritize their tickets in a way that is best for the client and helps them meet their SLAs.

This position will allow an individual to enhance their technical skills by NOT being siloed into the same day to day activities
Each day comes with new needs and new requirements of this team allowing hands on experience with a wide range of technical issues

If the technician is learning quickly and performing their best, there is a big possibility they will fight to have this person join the team long term

 

 

Work Environment

Team setting but will be the sole provider of support for a middle school and high school. Will work along side Technology Facilitators to ensure all students and faculty are running classes efficiently.

 

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test - Ability to work independently - Must be physically able to lift and move PC equipment - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis in customer service, including experience

 

Business Challenge

There are 22 total desktop technicians needed for 35 schools. This position is open because we are backfilling one of the FT employees that moved into a network position.
