Medical Collector
Compensation will ranges between $20-$27 per hour, dependent on experience.
5 years or more of RECENT full cycle Medical Collections experience.
ONSITE in Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
Schedule of Monday through Friday, 9am – 6pm
Responsibilities:
Working full cycle claims process; submit and appeal claims, work denials, submitting PDRs.
Reviews aging reports and unpaid claims while monitoring activity, rebill claims as needed.
Producing and sending letters or calls based on collection cycles.
Ensure cash transfers and check requests are processed and completed timely.
Investigate validity of refunds, overpayment notices, billing discrepancies and payment plans.
Responding timely to claims denials, exceptions, or exclusions.
Respond and resolve accordingly to client, patient or provider concerns and questions.
Contact doctor’s offices for additional required information.
Contact practitioner’s office regarding declined payments.
Ability to provide support to A/P and A/R management team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma
5 or more years in medical collections
Familiar with Hospice terminology and ability to analyze data efficiently
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid
Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task
Ability to work individually and collaboratively
Highly detailed and sense of urgency
Strong customer service skills while being highly professional
