Medical Receptionist

LHH seeks a Medical Receptionist.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors.
Answer phones, screening, and routing calls as needed, create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients.
Schedule provider appointments correctly and accurately.
Obtain prior authorization as needed, for referral orders and documents the authorization status in medical record.
Collect patient account balances, co-insurance, and copays, deductibles or estimates self-pay rates; prepares daily batch, deposits, etc.
Schedule patients for follow-up office visits or procedures, log no-show appointments; assists in scanning.
Maintain and organize lobby area
Assist with proper routing of incoming faxes and documents.
Maintain medical records.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years as a medical receptionist or similar role.
Knowledge in insurance verification and authorizations.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Experience with practice management software.
Schedule flexibility to include extended hours coverage Monday through Saturday.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am -5pm
Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
