Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily workload, ensure quality repairs, and facilitate communication between maintenance staff, supervision/management, and operations management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Directing daily workload and inspecting repair quality.
  • Determining the need for major equipment repairs.
  • Assigning work to personnel based on abilities and knowledge.
  • Implementing safety, reliability, and efficiency procedures.
  • Coordinating and providing staff training.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety of shop facilities.
  • Addressing maintenance and production concerns.
  • Managing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Performing advanced technical supervision over a maintenance shop.
Shift:

1st shift/split shift (9am-5pm or 10am-6pm) - Flexible

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign jobs to maintenance staff.
  • Repair equipment and facilities as needed.
  • Perform maintenance tasks according to PM schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Keep records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain inventory of critical spare parts.
  • Monitor production equipment for safe and efficient operation.
  • Communicate with employees across departments.
  • Implement equipment, facility, and process improvements.
  • Inform staff of pending repairs and projects.
  • Provide budgetary information.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and implementing projects.
  • Assist in orientation and training of new employees.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, trade school certification, or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supervising and leading technical resources in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting sketches, drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Expertise in electrical, mechanical, electronic, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, compressors, and motors.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to operate forklifts, man lifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Willingness to work on equipment and climb ladders.
  • Ability to use electronic test equipment and power tools.
