What You'll Do:
Accrual Accounting Pro: Process and manage accounts payable transactions using accrual-based accounting methods, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
Advanced Excel Expert: Use your advanced Excel skills to manage large data sets, create complex spreadsheets, and develop reports that support efficient decision-making.
Reconciliation Master: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable and accrual accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records.
Invoice Processing: Review and process invoices, ensuring they are recorded accurately in accordance with accrual accounting practices.
Vendor Relations: Work closely with vendors to resolve discrepancies, manage inquiries, and ensure timely payment processing.
Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close activities, including accrual adjustments, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze accounts payable data and generate insightful reports to support financial management and forecasting.
Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, maintaining a high level of accuracy in all transactions.
What You Bring:
Experience: Proven experience in accounts payable with a strong understanding of accrual-based accounting.
Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and complex formulas.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail when managing financial records and processing payments.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Organizational Skills: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Knowledge of Accounting Software: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred).
3+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably with a focus on accrual-based accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
