Position Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking four dedicated Sign Language Interpreters for the uping school year. This is an onsite position, and youll be working within a school district located about near Pittsboro,NC. Join our team to make a difference in students' educational experiences

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and clear interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language and vice versa for students, teachers, and staff.
• Facilitate munication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and their peers, as well as between students and teachers.
• Attend IEP meetings and other relevant school meetings to ensure appropriate support for students.
• Maintain professional relationships with students and staff, ensuring confidentiality and a positive learning environment.
• Adhere to the ethical guidelines and professional standards of the interpreting profession.

Requirements:
Must meet one of the following criteria for consideration:

1. Educational Interpreter I

   • Minimum EIPA score of 3.3 or a passing score on a state-level interpreting evaluation.
   • Minimum of an Associate's Degree.
   • An EIPA score of 3.5 required within 3 years of employment.

2. Educational Interpreter II

   • Minimum AA Degree in Educational Interpreting or a related field from an accredited program.
   • Minimum of 3 years experience in an educational setting.
   • Minimum EIPA score of 3.5.

3. Educational Interpreter III

   • Minimum EIPA score of 4.0 or national certification.
   • Minimum of 5 years experience in education.
   • Minimum of an AA degree in interpreting or a related field.
