Medical Office Nursing Coordinator

Job Summary:
As a RN Coordinator Medical Office Nursing, you will play a crucial role in coordinating clinical care within our medical offices to ensure optimal patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily clinical assignments to ensure timely patient flow and excellent patient care. Identify opportunities to improve clinic operations and work with physicians and APPs to provide a dynamic practice environment.
- Serve as a clinical and management resource for decision-making, problem-solving, and employee performance reviews. Liaise between staff, physicians, and managers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist in developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, including JCAHO and OSHA. Establish and maintain protocols, policies, and procedures in conjunction with physician staff and managers.
- Provide direct patient care and ensure that clinical nursing staff is properly trained to perform clinic procedures and patient care. Maintain current skills and competencies required of other Registered Nurses in the department.
- Maintain adequate inventory of clinical supplies and equipment. Assist with adherence to the budget, cost containment, and product selection.
- Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics and participate in performance improvement and quality improvement activities. Recognize, support, and utilize evidence-based nursing practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing an orientation plan for new staff. Prepare clinical staff time schedules and provide assistance in covering staff absences. Identify, coordinate, and conduct ongoing continuing education programs for the staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and APPs to customize their clinics to meet the unique needs of their patient population. Assist in developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures to reflect these standards.
Requirements:
- Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree (ADN), or Bachelor's Degree (BSN) required.
- BLS certification required. Licensed to practice as RN in North Carolina.
- Two (2) years (RN/LPN) nursing experience with at least one (1) year as a RN in a medical office or outpatient setting preferred. Prefer previous supervisory experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures. Ability to document clinical information. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from patients, physicians, family members, and other Rex staff.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
Work Details:
- Full-time position with 40 hours per week.
- Exempt from overtime.
- On-site work assignment.
