Job Description

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling metal products partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor. You will be putting together a new product line for cloud cooling systems, which are 6-14 feet tall and enclose all the wiring and fans to cool cloud systems for various companies. The role involves handling 7 types of cooling units. You should be able to use hand tools, measuring tape, take verbal instructions, and read work instructions.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble metal products partially or completely.
  • Work at a bench or on the shop floor.
  • Put together a new product line for cloud cooling systems.
  • Handle 7 types of cooling units.
  • Use hand tools and measuring tape.
  • Take verbal instructions and read work instructions.
  • Prepare units for shipment by cleaning, insulating, and wrapping.
  • Ensure all parts are accounted for and weigh the product.
  • Maintain high quality and attention to detail.
Essential Skills
  • Hand tool experience
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch (Level 2)
  • Ability to read a blueprint (Level 2)
  • Experience using SAP/Access portal/work orders
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Not afraid of heights or tight spaces
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in carpentry, mechanical assembly, or general labor is a plus
  • Experience with power tools and blueprint reading
  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
Why Work Here?

We offer optional overtime and room for growth. This is a first shift position with competitive pay and benefits. Once permanent, pay increases to $17-$18 per hour. We provide a 401k match up to 5%, with benefits kicking in on the first of the month after 60 days of hire. Our health benefits plan is comprehensive.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing and assembly shop is very clean but not climate-controlled. Hand tools such as wrenches, rivet guns, torque tools, mallets, drills, and table saws are used daily. Required PPE includes steel-toed shoes, eye protection (provided if needed), long pants, and a T-shirt. The shift is Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, with optional overtime on Friday and Saturday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00
