Litigation Paralegal

ABOUT THE FIRM:

• National firm approaching 40 years in practice
• Despite a national platform, LA is a 50-person office and feels very personable. Right now, there are 20 attorneys in the LA office.
• The LA office primarily does products liability and auto warranty defense.

PAY RATE: $40/hr during the contract period

ASSIGNMENT: Contract-to-hire, starting as early as the week of 12/16 and no later than early January

INTERVIEW PROCESS: Two, consecutive days (one with HR, follow up with Partner)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Paralegal duties – heavy day to day case management chronologies, discovery summaries. 1:1 desk. ~50 cases per desk.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Defense experience preferred.

·      This person will be a billing paralegal and have their own assistant handling admin duties like e-filing, etc. 

·      Product liability experience & warranty lemon law experience is welcome, but not required. 

·      4+ years experience in civil litigation

·      Ideally has a para cert

Office: 2x onsite, 3x remote – Tuesdays & Thursdays everybody from managing partner to essential staff (office services, IT, receptionist onsite daily). Business casual attire. Located in Torrance.
